Magnets in the Battlefield
A brilliant idea, of a US friendly
army, resulted in a request from 3MAG,
fridge and advertisement magnets
manufacturer, to manufacture magnets that will mark all types of
army vehicles including tanks.
Just recently
3MAG launched its advanced
production line of outdoor car magnets, specifically suitable to
vehicles of all kinds. These modified magnets are used to mark
vehicles, such as company owned and rental company's fleets, with
promotional or informational text and graphics.
Its been just a few month and 3MAG has received a unique request
from a US friendly army, to manufacturer outdoor magnets to mark
army vehicles during combat training with colored magnets matching
the vehicle camouflaged colors.
The basic army kit will include
magnets that will be camouflaged in any field condition e.g. desert,
urban, wooded, arctic etc. Within a few seconds the crew will be
able to change its magnets to any field condition it might
encounter.
This innovative idea oriented from
3MAG renowned fridge magnets production line, the outdoor magnets
are made of the same magnetic raw material used for refrigerator
magnets, while in lieu of laminated paper top layer as in
refrigerator magnets, the outdoor magnets will be covered with
durable acrylic top layer to any weather conditions.
In order to maintain its outdoor
durability the magnet's top layer is printed in a UV colors digital
technology, while indoor magnets are printed in an offset full color
technology. 3MAG named the outdoor magnets "Poli Magnet".
Another advantage contributed to the
army decision making process to choose 3MAG was their integrated
manufacturing process that involves laser technology to ensure
precise cutting of magnets. Using this technology 3MAG is capable of
cutting it’s magnets in any shape and in exceptional thickness; this
technology enables high magnetic capability to withstand high speed
and severe field conditions. 3MAG indoor fridge and advertisement
magnets as well as outdoor Poli Magnets are 40mil thick. Indoor
magnets ensuring magnetic capabilities to hold up to 7 letter size
papers to the fridge with one
business card size magnet.
Many details were revealed in this
report; however 3MAG refuses to disclose its material texture
characteristics and the professional graphic design methodology that
puts it in this desirable position.
